I’ve been struggling with this dichotomy for a little while. Sometimes I’ll even catch myself getting swept up into it myself. I have never quite fit into the whole new age thing, though I do appreciate certain aspects of it. Also I don’t believe that what passes for science, is quite as objective as it claims to be.
This is just a a false dichotomy, in which polar opposites are presented as options, when the best option is to choose neither. Both sides are seriously mistaken, each in their own ways, and neither leads to true freedom.
The problems with New Age and Scientism are actually similar, though these two philosophies are expressed in different ways. Both are, at some level, ways of surrendering your critical thinking to outside forces. New agers fail to value action and critical thinking and are content with slavery. Followers of Scientism fail to recognize natural laws or the true nature of consciousness; they also tend to blindly accept the conclusions of scientific institutions, rather than utilizing their own critical thinking.
Its important not to fall down either trap; yet I see so many of us doing so. That’s how it was designed, to provide two false alternatives and make you think that you need to choose. You can choose none of the above.
If you choose none of the above, you can still use science/rationality and it doesn’t mean that you can’t also understand consciousness/spirituality. It doesn’t have to be one or the other. The either/or mentality leads to serious imbalance.
Mark Passio – New Age Bullshit And The Suppression Of The Sacred Masculine
This is the extended podcast version of the presentation Mark Passio gave at the Free Your Mind 2 Conference in Philadelphia on April 27, 2013. In this presentation Mark talks about the “New” Age Movement as another Religion to control people’s minds and prevent them from developing a deep understanding of Natural Law. Mark goes through 10 “New” Age Deceptions in the talk, and then offers a Correction to balance each deception. If you have bought into the hype of the “New” Age Movement, this is a video that you need to see to understand how you are being deceived.
Many of the problems of today, stem from a lack of awareness in the present moment. Many of us become enthralled in repetitive cycles and fail to recognize the best course of action in the present. Latching onto accepted processes solves nothing and creates many of the problems that seem unexplainable.
I first listened to this song and the band who performed it several years ago, probably some time around 2004. A couple of friends and I went a place in the country, where we had a most profound consciousness-expanding experience. Deep into the experience, we watched this Sun that Never Sets DVD by Neurosis. It’s amazing what you can see in a video in that state of mind and what you can experience in a song.
I still remember, after that experience, I never looked at art or music the same way again. I was irreversibly transformed, in ways that would be difficult to describe here.

A sun that never sets burns on.
New light is this river’s dawn.
When to speak of a word so old
Is to relearn what is known.
A time to think back and move on.
Rebuild the loves of lives long gone.
The blood that flows through me is not my own.
The blood is from the past, not my own.
The blood that leads my life is not my own.
The blood is strength, I’m not alone.
“A world that is Free is not United, A World that is United is not Free”. It will take some work and resources on your behalf and work to educate yourself and understand what is happening. Today I want to discuss a set of transformative experiences I had around the year 2003, as well as a few of the individuals who helped me to see a new path. This transformation has as much relevance today as it did during that time, nearly 10 years ago, it echoed and amplified similar transformations I’d had in the previous decade, when I was gaining independence from religion. The years which followed this transformation have served me well as further refinement.
It was during this 2003 time-frame that I really started branching out and looking for answers; I was looking for these answers on various fronts.
The nature of the body’s health and vitality and how to attain true health and wellness.
The nature of the paranormal, particularly psychic phenomena.
The nature of government and power in society.
It was at this time that I started reading more about Edgar Cayce, on the advice of a good friend. The part I found particularly interesting were the health readings and the dietary recommendation. I decided, what could it hurt, why not try some of the dietary recommendations? So I tried it out and was I ever blown away by the effect it had on me overall. It was like wiping clean the dirty lens that was my consciousness, a lens that I did not realize was filthy.
This was only the beginning of a journey towards health and wellness, which was greater than I had ever realized possible. It was only after this that I tried acupuncture, juicing, fasting, etc. I was emboldened to try truly radical approaches to change myself and I was most certainly not disappointed with the results.
I also started more vigorously studying the paranormal and realizing that there might just be a bit more to reality than I had been lead to believe. The work of Cayce provided many avenues down which to travel and I also explored other areas as I became aware of them. This left me with, not only a completely revitalized view of my self; but also a completely revitalized view of existence.
Another path I ventured down, was the path of questioning authority in a deeper way than I had previously known. I started to entertain ideas about conspiracies. I opened my mind to the possibility, in the hope that I might find a greater truth and have answered some of the questions that are never answered by the conventional dialog.
One of the first conspiracy-related lectures I ever watched online, was introduced by Anthony J. Hilder and given by Jordan Maxwell. It was somewhat of a pivotal moment in my life, where I decided to walk, even further, down that different path I was on, into the thick of it. This is when I decided to turn away from the herd mentality and walk to the beat of a different drum. I had heard this drumbeat at times in years previous; but this time I felt the urge to be swept up in the new rhythm.
The first in-depth lecture was called Inner World of the Occult and it featured lecturer/researcher Jordan Maxwell. This event opened up my mind to alternative possibilities and alternative ways of seeing the world, which I had previously not considered in depth. It shed light on so many new possibilities in meticulous detail, that it was an adventure to take it all in.
Now, whether or not I understand or agree with the finer points of what Jordan and Anthony say, at this point, is irrelevant. I think it is pretty clear that they were on the right track, if you’ll just look at the events of the past 11 years outside of the storybook narrative of the government and the media. The details are not the point of what I’m saying here anyways.
The important thing, is that my understanding has gone beyond anything said by any group or individual, it has detached from experiencing reality vicariously through others, or through institutions. Having radically different information at my disposal, caused me to question what I’ve been told all my life, in a very substantial way. I learned to question absolutely everything I had been told and take nothing at face value.
Like Anthony said, “a world that is free is not united, a world that is united is not free”, this is true for our own individual freedom, our own individual world. Truth and freedom must be realized at an individual level, or not at all; because there is no way to attain these things in a top-down fashion; as that would merely be an illusion.
Nobody but yourself can make you free. No government, no institution, no religion, no guru; you are the one who realizes the greater freedom within yourself and expands the possibilities; you have to genuinely want it in order to realize it.
This can be done by learning how to explore ideas, explore the world around us and boldly challenging our boundaries and our fears, in ways that might make us uncomfortable at times, in ways that may make us feel vulnerable to change.
So often, we are taught to fear being different, to fear what others will think, venturing out and remaking our self anew. We certainly don’t know for certain, what will be on the other side of the event horizon, when we engage in these kinds of transformative processes.
The world I found when I polished the lens of my own consciousness, wasn’t the world I was told was there, absolutely not. It was a completely different world that you’ve got to experience to its fullest to understand. Latching onto ideals and trying to stay within the realm of socially acceptable experience of reality, is not going to bring you to the truth; it will only distance you from the truth and lock you in a pattern that will be progressively more difficult to break from.
To be truly free, you’ve got to be willing to venture where others are unwilling to go. You’ve got to be fearless, where others are timid. You’ve got to be bold and action oriented, where others are lethargic and aimless. You’ve got to have the courage to stand up, step away from the mechanisms of your control and take matters into your own hands.
Sure, you’ll be wrong at times. You’ll make yourself look like a fool or an ass. You’ll hit dead ends and roadblocks; but by and large, you will be far closer to the truth than those who choose never to venture out of their box. If you’re not making mistakes, then you’re not trying. If you’re not willing to admit you’ve made mistakes, you will never better yourself.
All I can hope to do is share my experiences, of how I continuously strive to realize greater freedom and independence, in the hope that it will inspire you to realize a greater awareness in yourself. I’m not trying to tell you what to think; but I am merely trying to get you to look at what is in front of you from a fresh perspective, so that you may rediscover it.
This is something I recently wrote, in response to an acquaintance’s open ended question: “God exists? Prove it.”
I would certainly like to build on it with a deeper exploration some time in the future; but it is a good summary of the first stages of my journey.
Before getting into this, I’d like to note that I have nothing against any particular religion per se; but am merely referring to the experience of various religious groups and individuals I had during that time in my life. To me, it’s not a person’s religion that matters, it is their character that is important.
I’ve met many people of religion who use the religion to mask and legitimize a violent and oppressive nature, while I’ve met people with no religion at all who are compassionate and wonderful people and vice versa. Religion has nothing to do with it, so we have to see beyond the labels we ascribe to ourselves, if we really want to get to know one another.
When I was early in my search for answers, I used to be very concerned with its existence or lack thereof, of this entity called God. I was originally raised as a Christian, which seems to be the default in this part of the world.
I realized after awhile, however, that most of the claims of the adherents of this religion, seemed to be founded on circular reasoning referencing the Bible. I found that whenever I inquired for more information or questioned events, I was strongly discouraged and often separated from the other kids at Sunday school and reprimanded.
It was always puzzling to me, why they did not have answers, beyond merely what was written, to back up their claims. Their lack of curiosity, to know more about their own religion which they claim to value so highly, was also perplexing.
I investigated the Bible only to find myself disappointed, when I found that the Christians I knew at the time knew virtually nothing of its origin. The sources I read indicated that there was more information about the origin; but even this additional information wasn’t very compelling to establish the authority of the bible. The disappointment only grew when I realized that it had been tampered with by various governments and appeared to be a tool to control people’s behavior.
My knee jerk response was to become an Athiest, then after reading a compelling piece called “Why I am Agnostic” by Robert Ingersoll, I then became an agnostic for several years.
I realized after awhile that I was letting the modern conceptions of religion define my own spirituality, limiting my experience and awareness. I was letting the fact that I was *not* something, cause me to be the “other side of the coin,” so to speak. To where I was defining my relationship to the deeper and more mysterious aspects of reality, still in terms of a religion that I did not believe in, when it really should have no relevance at all.
I had a number of experiences, particularly a very powerful out of body trip on Ayahuasca, in which I realized that my materialistic atheistic/agnostic approach was deeply flawed. As is common during DMT experiences, I experienced extreme time dilation and a number of other phenomena, in which I became privy to experience and information that is impossible under normal circumstances. To me, this experience was highly profound and cannot be attributed to mere biochemical interactions and nerve firings.
I could go on in great length about the particulars of the experience and would be happy to share more sometime; but suffice it to say, I realized that our “alert problem solving reality” is far from all there is; that there is a much deeper and more sophisticated reality underlying the phenomena we see on a daily basis, which is responsible for consciousness itself.
Now, I believe that conscious awareness and the intricate and infinitely scalable structure thereof, is the cause of our shared physical reality and not that our physical reality is the cause of consciousness.
This notion of God or Godlessness, religion or a-religion seems to color our experience; but it seems unnecessary. It’s typically an attachment to a belief that is not rooted in actual experience. At this point in my life, I feel that the nebulous concept of “God” doesn’t really matter; but what does matter is that we become conscious and aware of our own experiential reality, so we can become more aware of the deeper facets of conscious existence.
Among the usual crop of spectacular promises offered by societies this September, the Debates Convenor Alan Patterson came up with one even more unrealistic than usual. Just as no-one could quite believe that we would attract genuine Westminster MP’s to St Andrews (with the exception, naturally, of Menzies Campbell, who cannot seem to stay away), there were many who doubted that the Debating Society could really, truly produce a speaker willing to stand up in front of 250 students in his birthday suit.
We may have been proved right thus far in our skepticism about the first promise, but to give Mr Patterson credit where it is due, this year’s Rag week Debate delivered on its promise. Heavily documented in the national press, Vincent Bethell, an artist from Coventry, accepted the invitation to pass on his message of personal liberty to whoever would come to Lower Parliament Hall on Wednesday the 13th. Mr Bethell is chair and founder of the Freedom to Be Yourself Society, and seems to be so happy wandering about naked that it is a wonder he ever puts on clothes at all. During a five-day trial after which he was cleared of being a public nuisance, Bethell neglected to observe traditionally formal courtroom clothing, opting instead to appear before the judge in his preferred attire, that is to say, nothing. He has also been spotted at many London landmarks such a the High Court and New Scotland Yard unclothed, so often that tourists are beginning to assume that he is one of the city’s attractions. The play was a great success, but the audience was a disaster
-Oscar Wilde
The most effective way to disconnect from the manipulations of the Matrix is to laugh in its face. Once we take it seriously we become attached to the game through mind, emotion and fear. The Matrix only exists because we believe its illusions are real, but we don’t have to.
The mind-game has such a grip on reality that people get angry, obsessive or outraged about the most irrelevant bollocks and this myopia cements their arses to the web. In fact, it’s all bollocks. There is nothing, except Infinite Love, that isn’t bollocks. But oh, my – how we get caught. For example, I made the point in I am me, I am free, about the word fuck. Oh my God, did he really say that? ‘Ethel, he’s just said that rude word, it’s outrageous.’ I love it how newspapers, moral guardians that they are, always write the word as f***. What the fuck is that all about? When vou see f*** what goes through your mind? Fuck, exactlyfuck, but not to say it. What bollocks!
Nothing encapsulates how deeply the Matrix has control of the human psyche than our attitudes to the word fuck. It may not be the most beautiful of sounds, but if you hit your thumb with a hammer I challenge you to find a better one to sum up your feelings. Like all words it can be said with venom, matter-of-factly, or in humour and it is the energy and intent behind a word that has the effect, not the word itself. Fuck is just a sound that can produce a disruptive or harmonious resonance depending on the intent. So what’s the big deal about this word when the same is true of all the others? Once again it’s programming. We are told from childhood that the word is taboo and this imprint dictates the lifetime reaction in most people when they hear the dreaded four letters. To say sexual intercourse is fine, though not encouraged because even that’s embarrassing to many, but its one syllable stablemate is definitely persona non grata. Yet imagine if fuck meant something else, say sandwich.
Two pieces of bread with something in the middle is believed to be named after the fourth Earl of Sandwich because, it is said, in about 1762 he asked for meat to be served between slices of bread to avoid interrupting a gambling game. He had originally intended to take the title of Earl of Portsmouth and, if he had, we would now be eating portsmouths. It is also quite possible that if the earl had left his gambling game to have sex with a maid the word sandwich might now be slang for sexual intercourse. It would certainly give new meaning to ‘Im going for a sandwich’. How different it would be if the roles were reversed & by some quirk of events a sandwich was called a fuck. It would be fine to ask for a cheese & tomato fuck, heavy on the mayo but moral outrage would ensue if you asked for a sandwiching fuck. I can say buck & that’s OK. I can say duck & that’s OK. But when I say fuck, there are knickers twisting in every direction. It’s so pathetic & if we can get uptight about a single word, what chance have we got of extricating ourselves from the trillions of far more powerful ways the illusion attaches itself to our sense of reality? It’s the same with nudity. They say a perfect god created the human body and then condemn you for showing it. For goodness sake, they are just illusory willies and illusory breasts. If the taboo programming was not there in the first place no one would give a toss about nudity.
People talk about wanting to be free and yet they can’t get past first base by not being outraged by a bare bum or a single word. Deep breath … Fuuuuuuuuuck. There, see, did anyone die? No one’s been hit by a lighting strike or a cruise missile?
It’s just a fucking word and we are Infinite Consciousness – All Possibility. Jeeeez. I saw a notice outside the studios at a Los Angeles radio station listing all the words a government agency decreed could not be used on air. It said the fine for doing so was $500,000. One of these words was … shit. You can say excrement and pay nothing, but use the word shit for the same substance and you are threatened with a fine of half a million dollars. Give me a shove will you? I’m ready to wake up now. We are so focused on the twigs, like fuck and shit, that we can’t see the trees, let alone the forest. I am not saying everyone should go round swearing if that’s not their choice, but if someone else does, so what?
Sex is another of the moral stickies that keeps people attached to the illusion. I saw an American right-wing Christian say that he was worried about gay marriage and wanted Bush elected to stop it. He was worried about gay marriage? Well, I think I see a way out of this: don’t marry a gay, then. There, simple, what shall we do now? I am tempted to start an Internet advice column and call it noneofyourbloodybusiness.com. What right has anyone to decide if a gay marries a gay? It’s their business and what the hell are we doing moralising about relationships never mind legislating for them? Whether you are gay or what they call ‘straight’ it is only a software program transmitted from and through the DNA/RNA. Infinite Consciousness is All Possibility, the balance of everything, and it doesn’t have our version of ‘sex’ in its non-Matrix form. The super-hologram is where ‘physical’ sex takes place and gay or straight it doesn’t matter. They are both expressions of duality, as is all that male-female stuff. It only happens in the realms of illusion and division. From the perspective we are discussing here, the sexual act, whether between ‘straights’ or ‘gays’, involves inserting a holographic illusion into a holographic illusion and our central processing unit telling us if we are enjoying it or not. Ask anyone and they will tell you that they want to be free. What does it mean to be truly free? Is it something that is bestowed upon us by some outside force such as the government?
Actually, true freedom issues from within our very being; we create the freedom or the lack thereof in every moment that we exist. With each passing breath we have a choice; we can be “an infinite consciousness capable of being and creating whatever it chooses” or we can be “an illusion imprisoned by its own perceived and programmed limitations.”
When you look out into the world, is it not obvious that there is a very real problem with people unnecessarily limiting themselves with their own perceived and programmed limitations? Might each of us, no matter how much we’ve worked on ourselves, benefit from some reflection on these concepts?
Chapter 1: The Bewildered Herd
by David Icke
So who the hell are you, then? What lies behind those eyes? When you look in the mirror, what do you see? Do you see the real you, or what you have been conditioned to believe is you? The two are so, so, different. One is an infinite consciousness capable of being and creating whatever it chooses, the other is an illusion imprisoned by its own perceived and programmed limitations.
Which of these “yous” is controlling your life? Infinity or limitation? Self love or self disdain? Freedom of thought or a prison of the mind?
Sadly for the overwhelming majority of people on this planet all but the privileged few – it is the conditioned mind which prevails. They live their lives within their programmed limitations of thought, view, and action. It is a world of I can’ts and I daren’ts and I mustn’ts; of I shoulds and I musts and I ought tos; a world of conforming to what someone else says they must be or should be. While the real them sees only solutions and opportunities to learn and evolve, the programmed them sees only problems and reasons not to do. They live life behind bars in a cell of their own making. The world itself reflects the sum total of these billions of individual prisons. The Earth has become a global Alcatraz, a spinning ball of control and imposition dictated by the few at the expense of the many. Freedom? Free-what? How do you spell that again? The human race has not been free for a very, very long time, well before recorded history. But the trick is to persuade us that we are free – then we won’t do anything about the walls that surround us and the warders at the door. Walls? What walls? You’re free! Warders? What warders? You’re free! Read the rest of this entry »
“We reproduce catastrophe because we ourselves are traumatized – both as a species and individually, beginning at birth. Because we are wounded, we have put up psychic defenses against reality and have become so cut off from direct participation in the multidimensional wilderness in which we are embedded that all we can do is to navigate our way cautiously through a humanly designed day-to-day substitute world of symbol— a world of dollars, minutes, numbers, images and words that are constantly being manipulated to wring the most possible profit from every conceivable circumstance. The body and spirit both rebel.”
The artifacts and monuments of ancient Egypt have a significance that goes far beyond the “funerary” meaning that is conventionally applied to them. Many great temples, such as the Temple of Luxor, actually represent the growth of man in four dimensions; they also represent the growth of the Universe through time. One of the most interesting aspects of the Luxor temple, is how it shows the mathematical relation between Human and Universe.
When you look deeply into the story in the words of the ancient Egyptians; and you take them at their word, instead of the word of an outside “academic” observer, you see a completely different perspective of these people and their culture.
The symbolist interpretation of ancient Egyptian history is a rich and vast web of intricacy, which creates a true understanding of what this culture was trying to accomplish.
Their goal was not to preserve their physical bodies for all of time; instead it was to become attuned to the divinity within themselves, by living a life in touch with divine principles. Then they will have significantly enhanced their awareness, so they can move towards higher forms of being in the after-life.
The following is a selection from Magical Egypt, a documentary by John Anthony West, in which he unravels the mysteries of ancient Egypt and the Mystery Schools, from a symbolist perspective.
