#015 Thoughts on Religion, Spirituality, Belief and Science

I was visited today by some Jehovahs Wittnesses and it helped to stir up some old thoughts about religion and what its like to deal with the topic and the issues surrounding it. In this video I discuss my stance on religious zealots and then get into my own individual stance on religion, philosophy and spirituality.

Christmas is NOT What You Were Taught it is

What you have to realize is that “Christmas” goes way back to the days of our tribal ancestors. The Pharmacratic Inquisition delves into the true history of “Christmas.” This history is nothing like what we have been taught by our religious, government or educational rulers.

Have you ever wondered why we use trees, stockings, reindeer and bearded men with sacks? Did it ever occur to you that “Christmas” occurs on precisely the same day as the winter solstice (the true end to the solar year).

If you want to understand the true history of our people and know the methods by which they purified their spiritual understanding, you have to look back into the forbidden history of “Christmas” as well as “Christianity.”

Hanging Curtains Naked?!?!?!

Well, what would you say if you had a potato lodged in your bottom?

Vicar went to hospital with potato stuck in bottom

A vicar attended hospital with a potato stuck up his bottom – and claimed it got there after he fell on to the vegetable while naked.

The clergyman, in his 50s, told nurses he had been hanging curtains when he fell backwards on to his kitchen table.

He happened to be nude at the time of the mishap, said the vicar, who insisted he had not been playing a sex game.

The vicar had to undergo a delicate operation to extract the vegetable, one of a range of odd items medics in

Sheffield have had to remove from people’s backsides or genitals.

Others include a can of deodorant, a cucumber, a Russian doll – and a carnation.

Speaking of the vicar, A & E nurse Trudi Watson, of Sheffield’s Northern General Hospital, said: “He explained to me, quite sincerely, he had been hanging curtains naked in the kitchen when he fell backwards on to the kitchen table and on to a potato.

“But it’s not for me to question his story. He had to undergo surgery to have it removed.”

She advised anyone tempted to use such objects in sex games to think again.

“It can be very dangerous and potentially life-threatening,” she said.

“Surgery can lead to infection, nasty scarring, and it could possibly end up with the person having to use a colostomy bag as a result.”

A hospital trust spokeswoman in Sheffield said: “Like all busy hospitals we do see some unusual accidents.

“But our staff deal with them in a discreet, professional and kind way.”

We Manifest Our Reality

The universe has a purpose, though its not what you may have been sold. It simply gives us what we ask for, while the rest has been left, for each of us to decide. If we should choose to fear, then that is what we will be given, until we achieve the destruction that we so woefully fear. But if we should choose to love, then that is what we will be given, until we achieve the creation that we so ardently love.

Whatever we decide to make our focus, will manifest itself in the myriad things around us, so long as we choose to maintain such a focus. We are much more than simple passengers, along for a boring ride into a certain fate. No, we are powerful too, co-creators, gods in our own right; as powerful as any being who ever lived.

The only thing that can be our un-doing, is that which is of our own choosing. Not some wrathful God who judges its creation from afar, like an angry father with his charged rod of iron, with a mighty white beard, he throws an spiteful bolt, at whatever he fears, to prevent it from becoming something on its own that he cannot control, like robotic mindless servants.

Just look at any “organized” form of religion and you will plainly see, that they are selling the same damn thing. Could it be any more awfully obscene? To see these learned men peddling infantile fears, preaching annihilation towards all who refuse to submit themselves blindly.

It doesn’t matter what they call it, what rituals they pursue, or how many followers they have saved, from the evil scourge self-hood. Evil to these men is deviation, from the organizations on which the followers depend.

Surely, they say, this trend towards individuation, will someday be our annihilation. So we must rid our selves of the spark to create; and fear anything that we haven’t been shown by the bearers of the stamp of approval.

Simply reduce it to its components, and it will be evident that their tactics are quite simple, when you look beyond the facade of virtue and righteousness. Virtually every manner of group-think is based upon the fear of annihilation and self-punishing guilt. Without these two techniques, these awful organizations will have no base of followers, no-one would seek their shelter.

They lure you in, with a false sense of security, then they transform you into precisely that which you fear. Because without this paradigm, they have created, you will be certain to experience the annihilation that you so fear.

So it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. Since their control paradigm is weak and riddled with holes, it will one day collapse, leaving you exposed. Since you chose to believe, that without fear as your only master, that you shall truly perish, vanishing into the void, then that is what you shall have whenever the fateful day arrives. This focus on annihilation will manifest itself as you so desire.

Bill Maher on the Catholic Church

Bill Maher had some thought provoking things to say about the Catholic church as well as the situation at the polygamist “compound” (apartment?) in Texas.

I think the jist of Maher’s statement is: even if these people in Texas are molesting children, which is quite doubtful in my opinion; they haven’t done nearly the damage that the Catholic Church has done to its victims.

There’s actually plenty of documentation to prove what the Catholic Church has done.

There is really no proof yet, of what the media is trying to insinuate, to be happening on with the Polygamist Mormon group.

I’ve noticed today that a number of organizations are trying to chastise Bill Maher for his comments about the Catholic Church. Many of these messages were very strongly worded, saying that “it was all lies” and other typical catch phrases.

I am here to tell you, however, that everything Bill Maher said has been documented extensively and thoroughly, time and again.

The Catholic Church is at the HEART of the corruption, worldwide. Indeed tens of thousands of children have been molested by pedophile priests. Also, countless individuals have died in wars perpetrated by the Vatican, and the international banking cartels started by the Pope in the 1500’s.

Swans: Sex, God, Sex

This is a video that I put together over the last couple of nights. The theme of the video is the perversion of religion and spirituality by the religious organizations.

On the Destructiveness of Humankind

Eve’s descendants have steadily accumulated the power to destroy each other in an unholy Armageddon and, like sleepwalkers, are shuffling toward a planetary ecological disaster. How could a slight, five-foot-tall, two-legged animal create such sublimity and yet wreak so much havoc in so miniscule an interval of earth’s history?
– Leonard Schlain (Sex, Time and Power)

…man differs from the animal by the fact that he is a killer; he the only primate that kills and tortures members of his own species without any reason, either biological or economic, and who feels satisfaction in doing so. It is this biologically non-adaptive and non-phylogenetically programmed “malignant” aggression that constitutes the real problem and the danger to man’s existence as a species…The most ample – and horrifying – documentation for seemingly spontaneous forms of destructiveness are on the record of civilized history. The history of war is a report of ruthless and indiscriminate killing and torture, whose victims were men, women, and children. Many of these occurrences give the impression of orgies of destruction, in which neither conventional nor genuinely moral factors had any inhibitory effect…There is hardly a destructive act human imagination could think of that has not been acted out again and again
– Erich Fromm (Anatomy of Human Destructiveness)

The major rise in our killing prowess occurred primarily in the last hundred thousand years, with the sharpest spike limited to the last forty thousand. Creation is a nightmare spectacular taking place on a planet that has been soaked for hundreds of millions of years in the blood of all its creatures. The soberest conclusion we can make is that the planet is being turned into a vast pit of fertilizer
– Leonard Schlain (Sex, Time and Power)

If the development of civilization has such a far-reaching similarity to the development of the individual and if it employs the same methods, may we not be justified in reaching the diagnosis that, under the influence of cultural urges, some civilizations…possibly the whole of mankind, have become neurotic?
– Sigmund Freud

Careful believing a man is God… Sai Baba is God?

Even if you do believe a man can be a god, how can any one man be more of a god than another? Do we not all have our own inner divinity? How can it be quantified so as to say one of us is more “godlike” than another?

Over 100,000,000 people believe that Swami Sai Baba is a living “god.” I often wonder why they believe this, as I have seen no evidence that he is any more “god” than you or I.

Sai Baba uses materialization of objects to mesmerize his followers into believing that he has supernatural powers. Many of these tricks, however, are mere magician tricks and he has been caught faking them in the past.

Several families have come forth claiming that Sai Baba molested their children or exposed himself to them. The founder of Hard Rock Cafe gives millions to Sai Baba, yet his Cafe serves slaughtered cows by the millions each year. Doesn’t it seem bizarre that a man who’s business murders cows is the chief supporter of Sai Baba?

While many of us are looking for alternatives to the commonly held beliefs of our cultures, it is unfortunate that many of the alternatives aren’t held in a critical light before they are accepted.

Zeitgeist – Looking Deeply Into Who and What We Are

Spirituality is a particular term which actually means dealing with intuition. In the theistic tradition there is a notion of clinging into a word.A certain act is regarded as displeasing to a divine principles. A certain act is regarded as pleasing for the divine … whatever. In the tradition of non-theoism, however, it is very direct — that the case history are not particularly important. What is actually important is here and now. Now is definitely now. We try to experience what is available there, on the spot. There is no point in thinking that a past did exist that we could have now. This is now. This very moment. Nothing mystical, just now, very simple, straight forward. And from that nowness, however, arises a sense of intelligence always that you are constantly interacting with reality one by one. Spot by spot. Constantly. We actually experience fantastic precision, always. But we are threatened by the now so we jump to the past or the future. Paying attention to the materials that exist in our life — such rich life that we lead — all these choices takes place all the time, but none of them regarded as bad or good per say — everything we experience are unconditional experience. They don’t come along with a label saying ‘this is regarded as bad’, ‘this is good’. But we experience them but we don’t actually pay heed to them properly. We don’t actually regard that we are going somewhere. We regard that as a hassle. Waiting to be dead. That is a problem. That is not trusting the nowness properly that what is the actual experience now possesses a lot of powerful things. It is so powerful that we can’t face it. Therefore, we have to borrow from the past and invite the future all the time.Maybe that’s why we seek religion. Maybe that’s why we march in the street. Maybe that’s why we complain to society. Maybe that’s why we vote for the presidents. It is quite ironic. Very funny indeed.

John Allegro Discusses the Dead Sea Scrolls

John Allegro was part of the original team of scholars who translated the Dead Sea Scrolls. While working with the team, he realized that the other researchers were intent upon leaving out the information which refutes commonly held notions held by Christianity. Read the rest of this entry »
