It’s Your Life

It’s Your Life

by Milla Jovovich

We had this dream
Locked behind these wicked thoughts
You and i
We felt pain
Passed from him, to me, to you

Reaching out
Into the empty space
We lost our place

It’s your life
It’s your soul
It’s everything
You give to him
It’s my heart
In your hands
Keep it or just let it fall
Another stone
Placed in my wall

I brush away
The flaming hair across your cheek
To see these eyes
That lit my life
Now they’re cold and dark and gone

With your smile
I’ll cross this hopeless line
But don’t waste time

It’s your life
It’s your soul
It’s everything
You give to him
It’s my heart
In your hands
Keep it or just let it fall
Another stone
Placed in my wall

It’s your life
It’s your mind
Choices that you make my love
It’s my heart in your hands
Keep it or just let it fall
Another stone placed in my wall

Can’t we see above
This wall?

When I close my eyes, I am at the center of the sun

Solar Portal

Center of the Sun

by Conjure One

Young girl in the market
Music to the men
When the men leave
Her eyes are red
When her eyes are closed again she sees the dark market of above

And she sings
‘They say the most horrible things
But I hear violins, when I close my eyes
I am at the center of the sun
And I cannot be hurt
By anything this wicked world has done’

Young boy in the market
Follows all the men
When the men leave
He’s out of his head
When his eyes are closed again he sees the dark market of above

And he sings
‘They break the most beautiful things
But I hear violins, when I close my eyes
I am at the center of the sun
And I cannot be hurt
By anything this wicked world has done
I look into your eyes
And I am at the center of the sun
And I cannot be hurt
By anything this wicked world has done’

Center of the sun

Young boy in the market
Sees the girl alone
And asks her
‘Have you lost your way home?’
She sings
‘You say the most beautiful things, just like my violins’

I look into your eyes
I am at the center of the sun
And I cannot be hurt
By anything this wicked world has done

When I close my eyes
I am at the center of the sun
And I cannot be hurt
By anything this wicked world has done

‘Cause
I hear violins
I hear violins

I hear violins
I hear violins

Center of the sun

Swans: Stay Here

be strong
be hard
resist temptation
stick your hand in your eye
close your fist
resist
flex your muscles
walk on this line
look straight ahead
flex your muscles
be hard
come back for more

Oliver Shanti – Journey to Shambala

Here is a beautiful video to this metaphysically stimulating song. I sometimes hear this song in my dreams. Those dreams, are some of the better dreams.

Neurosis – Crawl Back In

by Neurosis

Hammer in skull I am waiting to return your suffering.
In my mind I see you distant, broken and lost again.

When you come back I won’t know you.
We won’t fit right like it was before.
Time is truth, hard and cruel
And my heart has turned to stone.
I crawled back in, I am hungry,
I made sure my traps are set in space.

We had been standing on these tracks,
All the winds never called us back.

We laid so long, eternal night, in my heart it never left.
I’ll stand here, you go on, when you see me I’ll be gone.
Every road brings us on the past is never forgiven it is atoned.

Neurosis – A Sun That Never Sets

I first listened to this song and the band who performed it several years ago, probably some time around 2004. A couple of friends and I went a place in the country, where we had a most profound consciousness-expanding experience. Deep into the experience, we watched this Sun that Never Sets DVD by Neurosis. It’s amazing what you can see in a video in that state of mind and what you can experience in a song.

I still remember, after that experience, I never looked at art or music the same way again. I was irreversibly transformed, in ways that would be difficult to describe here.

by Neurosis

A sun that never sets burns on.
New light is this river’s dawn.
When to speak of a word so old
Is to relearn what is known.
A time to think back and move on.
Rebuild the loves of lives long gone.
The blood that flows through me is not my own.
The blood is from the past, not my own.
The blood that leads my life is not my own.
The blood is strength, I’m not alone.

Neurosis – The Tide

by Neurosis

Where are they now?
They are gone.
I saw them run,
run to the sea.

Under the waves all has been said.
Their voices are free.
Free from the sun’s stare,
free from the noise of lost souls.

An exiled sound washed in with the tide.
Their voices are free.
Free from the sun’s stare,
free from the noise of lost souls.

On the waves their voice carries on.

The Lucid Place Between Deep Sleep and Wakefulness

If ever there were a song which represented the feelings you have, when consciously aware during a deeply lucid dream, this song would be it. It is a song by a group Oliver Shanti and Friends called eMAo from their album Tibetiya. Would highly recommend their music if you’re looking for something deeply fulfilling.

Classical Music Activates the Mind

I have long enjoyed classical music from the many great composers.  When I was in high school, I once had the opportunity to play the Tuba part of  J. S. Bach’s Tocatta and Fugue in D Minor adapted for wind ensemble.  Its was quite a challenge to play a piece which was intended for organ on a wind instrument, especially with all of the jumps between the top and bottom of the scale.

During the dozens of times I played it, during rehearsals, personal practice and concerts, I noticed new connections being made in my mind, new centers of thought and awareness activating.

I have always heard that classical music activates the mathematical centers of the mind.  I believe this is true and there’s probably far more going on than we are consciously aware of.

I hope you’ll take a moment to enjoy this Tocatta and Fugue video complete with a fascinating visualization, so you can not only hear the sound, but also get a sense of how the music is structured from a visual perspective.
