Statism: Just Another Giant Stone Cow

Statism is little more than a vestige from our past, an anachronism. Like those ancient stone gods you see pictures of, such as those in the Amazon. If you weren’t part of that culture and indoctrinated with the bullshit from an early age, it has little effect on you.

Statism is just like those statues. We see it so easily when looking at states in other parts of the world or statues in other parts of the world. We think, “how can people go along with this and believe it.” Almost always, the reason people go along with it, is because enough people fear the consequences of not having a state, because they have been taught, from a very early age, that human life could not exist without rulers.

Human life can and has existed without rulers and it has the potential to thrive under such conditions.

I don’t think it I don’t think it helps freedom-lovers to thumb down stmeeatnts like those of Annetjie. She does indeed have a point. It doesn’t help us get rid of slavery by construct something that sounds like a conspiracy to increase production. Democracy and it’s legalized theft didn’t come to life because someone wanted to earn more money, but because autocracy had failed so many times nobody believed in it anymore, but were too dumb to understand that democracy isn’t much less slavery than autocracy.

We definitely talk over pepole’s heads, but watch out or left libertarians will criticize you as being anti-intellectual . I definitely think that one reason (among many others, of course) that many left libertarians disliked Ron Paul’s campaign was the explicit populism of it that it didn’t try to be the typical braniac libertarian reeducation seminar, but brought pepole together on issues they could understand that were pro-freedom. We could learn a lot from the Paul campaign, I still think. And the other part of this is that a left libertarianism that appeals to politically unsophisticated types helps us hone our leftist credentials. I find many pepole just want to be engaged instead of talked down to. Attitude is immensely important in coaxing pepole into frames of mind that allow them to release old, comfortable positions and adopt new, uncomfortable, challenging ones. The only difference I have with you is the attitude of recruitment you suggest. I’d suggest instead simply trying to make friends and be friendly. Treat pepole like they’re real and not just statistics to be factored into a poll, and they’ll open up in a way that allows a real opportunity for learning. You may also learn something yourself!

    2) On the other 2) On the other hand, Annetjie wrote alots of unsupported cmials which is easy to show cannot have any evidence to support it, in reality. One claim I find it worth to mention is the one where she writes the obvious. A physical universe can only offer optimal, but not maximal freedom: Person A and B cannot take up the same space. Thus, we need compromises. But we only need compromises when wish of A and B are mutual exclusive, and cannot serve as support for statism, legalized theft or coercion.

RationalBullets, RationalBullets, exactly, and fuhter more, no reasonable man would disqualify a negative only because it doesn’t include a positive. Only because you’re against random murder, no reasonable man would argue that you owe to come up with something else murderers can fill their time with. When Stephan say no more Gov’t , it’s not a valid argument to say that Stephan owe to offer an alternative. The (_ONLY_) alternative IS lack of Gov’t. Pretty simple logic this is.

Hey. I noticed your site title, &#Tlm0;8hatP2u2.com » P.L.U.M Daily Inspiration” does not really reflect the content of your website. When creating your blog title, do you believe it’s best to write it for Website positioning or for your viewers? This is one thing I’ve been struggling with due to the fact I want great rankings but at the same time I want the best quality for my visitors.

Michael

This issue is easily solved. Get government out of education. Either offer vouchers or eliminate taxation for education all together. I’m willing to bet that more Christians will assure their children continue to be educated than non Chsaitirns.

I feel you. You are doing a great job and I think everyone makes those mistakes. I forgot to buckle in my daughter once – she was a bit older, maybe 2 or 3 – and SHE realized it and LOST HER MIND because her carseat belts weren't buckled. Luckily. I hate to think what would have happened.
