The human beings that most of us believe ourselves to be, actually encompass only a tiny fraction of the grand spectra of existence. Indeed, we are an integral part of the unfolding of reality.
We are sentient self-aware beings, distinct from most of the other beings that exist on this planet. The limited and docile Earthly persons that we, by default, tend to envision ourselves as, are actually far greater beings capable of, heretofore, unimagined feats.
“In the beginner’s mind there are many possibilities, in the expert’s mind there are few” ~ Sunryu Suzuki
Transcendence of our differences and re-invigoration of the primordial drive to transfigure our inner-selves into something more novel is the key. We have to move beyond this repetitive, cyclical, propaganda-induced lifestyle.
To do this, we need to abolish ritual and instead follow our innate sense of compassion by living in each and every moment as if it is the very first moment ever experienced. This is a return to the mind of a beginner. read full article »
“More money is spent on illegal drugs than on food.” ~Ron Paul
Video: Ron Paul on Morton Downey Jr Show (part II, part III)
The purely emotional exchanges on this talk show illustrate the high levels of idiocy afflicting the American people during the late 1980’s. It is really bizarre to see the audience applauding prohibitions and booing the constitution and the due process of law.
When the Downey Show Baboons aren’t busy spewing ignorance at the top of their lungs, Dr. Paul explains quite succinctly why the “War on Drugs” empowers drug dealers to make tremendous profits and the CIA to promote illegal wars.
Paul also notes that there wasn’t a single drug law until 1914 and America was just fine up until then. It is also interesting to note that more money is spent on illegal drugs than food! The American people were apparently duped into supporting the same criminal enterprises that they thought they were fighting because prohibitions only benefit the criminal element in society.
Vice-President DICK Cheney recently became involved in a squabble with the National Archives. The dispute was in regards to Cheney’s belief that his office is not a part of the executive branch of the U.S. Government and therefore is not subject to the uniform restrictions outlined in a recent executive order.
Cheney tells agency that Vice President’s office is not part of the executive branch
Michael Roston | Raw Story
Thursday June 21, 2007The Office of Vice President Dick Cheney told an agency within the National Archives that for purposes of securing classified information, the Vice President’s office is not an ‘entity within the executive branch’ according to a letter released Thursday by the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.
“The Oversight Committee has learned that over the objections of the National Archives, you exempted the Office of the Vice President from the presidential executive order that establishes a uniform, government-wide system for safeguarding classified national security information,” Rep. Henry Waxman (D-CA), the Committee’s chairman, wrote in a letter to Cheney. “Your decision to exempt your office from the President’s order is problematic because it could place national security secrets at risk. It is also hard to understand given the history of security breaches involving officials in your office.” read full article »

“To abolish the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System and the Federal reserve banks, to repeal the Federal Reserve Act, and for other purposes.” This legislation would help to restore the U.S. Constitution, which mandates that only Congress can coin money (Article I, Section 8, Clause 5), and that US debts be settled in silver and gold Article I, Section 10, Clause 1).
Andrew Jackson was the last president to stand up to the central bank and, against all odds, narrowly defeat it. He knew where to go to route out the corruption that eats at the very core of the nation.
Ron Paul is the Andrew Jackson of the 21st century. Americans are waking up to the reality of a privately owned central bank controlling a monopoly over the issuance of credit. The founders of America warned that private banks, possessing the powers of money issuance, would plunge the republic into tyranny. read full article »
Breath has a great effect on the our internal energy. When we gain an understanding of the relationship of breath to these energies, we are able to control them and benefit from them both mentally and physically.
In any sort of meditation, the key is focusing on your breathing, forget who you think you are, and become one with the eternal moment.
Breathing
by Shunryu Suzuki
When we inhale, the air comes into the inner world. When we exhale, the air goes out to the outer world. The inner world is limitless, and the outer world is also limitless. We say “inner world” or “outer world,” but actually there is just one whole world. In this limitless world, our throat is like a swinging door. The air comes in and goes out like a swinging door. The air comes in and goes out like someone passing through a swinging door. If you think, “I breathe,” the “I” is extra. There is no you to say “I.” What we call “I” is just a swinging door which moves when we inhale and when we exhale. It just moves; that is all. When your mind is pure and calm enough to follow this movement, there is nothing: no “I,” no world, no mind nor body; just a swinging door…. read full article »
There are billions of species of bacteria in the intestines. Without all of this bacteria, we would be unable to survive because the bacteria plays an integral role in the digestion of food. Since the intestinal bacteria are vital for the digestion process, we must be certain that we have the proper balance of “good” versus “bad” bacteria.
The balance of this bacteria is strongly influenced by the foods we eat and our exposure or lack thereof to antibiotics. Junk foods, bad food combinations and antibiotics facilitate the prevalence of “bad” bacteria, whereas whole foods and probiotics facilitate the prevalence of “good” bacteria.
How The Bacteria In Your Gut Can Make You Fat
Two new studies show that obese people have different intestinal bacteria than slim people. What’s more, the microbes in an overweight body are much more efficient at extracting calories from food. One study looked at mice, the other looked at humans. In both, a family of bacteria known as firmicutes were more plentiful in the obese (20 percent more). Bacteria called bacteroidetes were also much more abundant in those of normal weight (the obese had almost 90 percent fewer bacteroidetes). read full article »
The widespread consumption of “soft” drinks is, by far, one of the most dysfunctional and self-destructive customs to have taken hold in Western culture. Carbonated beverages do absolutely nothing for you, period.
Anyone who has even remotely looked into this subject should know that there are no health benefits whatsoever and a myriad of risks. As the beverages sit in the trucks during warm days, the preservative Sodium Benzoate converts to Benzene, a cancerous agent.
When we consume soft drinks, the rich corn-syrup causes the blood to become quite acidic, forcing the body to utilize emergency measures to bring the PH back to the safe range. It therefore has to release calcium from the teeth and bones, weakening robbing the skeletal system of vital minerals.
Cancer-Causing Benzene Found in Drinks
By ANDREW BRIDGES, Associated Press Writer Fri May 19, 8:18 PM ET
WASHINGTON – A government analysis of more than 100 soft drinks and other beverages turned up five with levels of cancer-causing benzene that exceed federal drinking-water standards, the
Food and Drug Administration said Friday. The companies that make the drinks have been alerted and either have reformulated their products or plan to do so, the FDA said. Government health officials maintain there is no safety concern, an opinion not shared by at least one environmental group. read full article »
If someone were to stretch the DNA molecule out, it would wrap around the Earth and Moon over 200,000 times, yet most humans use only 1 mile of that DNA. Many biologists like to refer to the DNA that we don’t use as “Junk DNA.”
If it is simply junk, then its a terrible waste of space, does nature really function with such inefficiency, or are there pieces of our DNA that we haven’t learned to use yet? read full article »
Ron Paul’s appearance on the Colbert Report provided some good exposure for Dr. Paul to a sympathetic audience of young voters.
Here is Colbert’s introduction for Dr. Paul:
I’m not sure how to feel about you, but I am passionately ambivalent. Lets stake out some of the things you’ve been doing: you voted against the Patriot Act, you voted against the Iraq war, you also hate taxes and you hate gun control. You are an enigma, wrapped in a riddle, nestled in a sesame seed bun of mystery..

Despite all of the hype about using anti-bacterial everything, these soaps have not been proven to be beneficial to human health. Still most of us insist on using them, as if “anti-bacterial” was some sort of benefit. If only people would open their eyes to all of the research that shows that these soaps are actually harmful.
The Truth About Antibacterial Soaps–And Why You Should Avoid Them
By Dr. Joseph Mercola with Rachael Droege | Mercola.com
It used to be that antibacterial soaps were used mainly in clinical health care environments. Now, antibacterial soaps are used in households across the country where they amount to a $16 billion-a-year industry. Some 72 percent of all liquid soap sold in the United States now contains antibacterial ingredients.
The active ingredient in most antibacterial products is triclosan, an antibacterial agent that kills bacteria and inhibits bacterial growth. But not only does triclosan kill bacteria, it also has been shown to kill human cells. Triclosan was introduced into consumer products in 1995, and its use has spread rapidly.
Antibacterial ingredients have become so prevalent in the United States that there are now antibacterial soaps, laundry detergents, shampoos, toothpastes, body washes, dish soaps and many household cleaning products. read full article »
