Each year at this time school children all over America are taught the official Thanksgiving story, and newspapers, radio, TV, and magazines devote vast amounts of time and space to it. It is all very colorful and fascinating.
It is also very deceiving. This official story is nothing like what really happened. It is a fairy tale, a whitewashed and sanitized collection of half-truths, which divert attention away from Thanksgiving’s real meaning.
The official story has the pilgrims boarding the Mayflower, coming to America and establishing the Plymouth colony in the winter of 1620-21. This first winter is hard, and half the colonists die. But the survivors are hard-working and tenacious, and they learn new farming techniques from the Indians. The harvest of 1621 is bountiful.
The Pilgrims hold a celebration, and give thanks to God. They are grateful for the wonderful new abundant land He has given them.
The official story then has the Pilgrims living more or less happily ever after, each year repeating the first Thanksgiving. Other early colonies also have hard times at first, but they soon prosper and adopt the annual tradition of giving thanks for this prosperous new land called America.
The problem with this official story is that the harvest of 1621 was not bountiful, nor were the colonists hard-working or tenacious. 1621 was a famine year and many of the colonists were lazy thieves. read full article »

Here’s a side of Tool’s Maynard James Keenan you may not have expected to see…
I was fortunate enough to come across an interesting individual who is capable of seeing the auras of other people. She found mine, in particular, to be a bit unusual for a variety of reasons.
The basic colors of the aura were: blue on the right side (which indicates introversion and a tenancy towards living in a sort of fantasy world of your own construction), yellow on the left side (which indicates a capacity for analytical thinking). Outside of the blue and yellow aura layer is a layer of aqua, which indicates magic worker.
When she was studying the outer aqua layer, she began to see past lives as a magician, alchemist, etc. One in particular was in Germany in 800 AD. She also said that I have a tenancy to be celibate, “as a means of staying in my own head.”
One of the first things she noted as out of the ordinary, was the white band of energy on the surface of the skin. The white band itself is not unusual in and of itself, but the thickness of it usually is 1/2 inch, whereas in my case this band was 5 inches thick. She believes that this is because there is a large amount of energy flowing through this mind/body/spirit complex.
Another unusual aspect that she noted was the solid line dividing the left and right halves of the aura. She said that she is accustomed to seeing a mixing of the two colors, and rarely has seen a solid line dividing them. Also included in the list of irregularities was a white V coming up from the crown of the head as well as a white “protective” shell surrounding the entire aura.
Interestingly, she also noted that I have had many lives on other planets, as higher vibrationally resonant beings, such as “blobs of energy” and whatnot. The purpose of this, she said, was to go to other realms to learn something and then return to earth to apply the lessons learned. So this would mean that the Earth is a sort of sandbox where beings can incarnate in order to test their selves in difficult circumstances, as the Earth inhabits a region of very low vibrational frequency.
Last night I made some veggie stir-fry that turned out pretty well. I shared it with a group of friends who seemed to enjoy it, so I am posting the recipe here for you.
In this recipe we are going to use a liberal amount of coconut oil (about 1/3 of a cup), and the base of this recipe consists of the following vegetables: broccoli, squash, onion, cabbage and tomato. The seasonings will consist, in order of strength, of: fresh ginger root, tumeric powder, curry powder and cayenne pepper. read full article »
As has been the case so many times during the history of this government, once again they are confiscating private property for the benefit of the Federal Reserve banking monopoly. They are trying their damnedest to discourage people from using alternative forms of money (in order to protect themselves from inflation). It will be interesting to see the legal battle that brews as a result of this.
Liberty Dollar office raided
The future of an Evansville-based company that produces a “private voluntary barter currency” known as the Liberty Dollar is in question after federal agents raided the facility this week, according to an e-mail sent by its founder.
Federal officials reportedly raided the group’s headquarters, located in a strip mall at 225 N. Stockwell Road, early Wednesday morning and seized documents and precious metals.
FBI Agent Wendy Osborne, a spokeswoman for the FBI’s Indianapolis office, directed all questions on the raid to the Western District of North Carolina U.S. Attorney’s Office. A spokeswoman there said she had no information on the investigation. read full article »

Venerable Thich Nhat Hanh discusses what he calls the most important practice in Buddhist meditation—the practice of letting go or “throwing away.”
Wrong perceptions, ideas and notions are at the root of our suffering—they are the ground of all afflictions. In order for us to touch happiness in the here and now, we need to throw away the ideas and notions that prevent us from learning and growing. The Diamond Sutra suggestions four notions that should be thrown away: self, human being, living being and life span. The substantive portion of this talk is dedicated to elaborating on these notions as well as our attachment to views, pairs of extremes, and rules and rituals. The talk concludes with the suggestion that we write a letter to help suicide bombers throw away the notions that have created fear and hatred in their hearts.
