Video of the August 5, 2007 GOP Debate on ABC

During the recent GOP debate the discussion touched on a variety of subjects such as: abortion, war, health care, road infrastructure, and the “fair” tax. The first part of the debate focused on abortion the Neocon’s war in Iraq, in the latter minutes of the debate the debate focused on taxation.

Most of the candidates backed “the decider,” while Ron Paul was the only candidate who expressed his disagreement with the unconstitutional wars in a meaningful and consistent manner. Interestingly, Tom Tancredo re-asserted his view that bombing Moslem holy sites in the wake of a nuclear strike on the united States of America would be helpful.

During the discussion on taxation, most of the candidates discussed the benefits of tax reduction on the overall economy. Some of the candidates backed the “fair tax,” which they claim will “end the IRS” and the “income tax” while other candidates backed a flat tax on “income.”

It is essential to note that the only candidate who has a plan to meaningfully reduce taxation in America is Ron Paul, with his plan to abolish the IRS and Federal Reserve. Instead of replacing the “income tax” with the “fair tax,” Congressman Paul wants to end this drain on the economy altogether by changing the role of the Federal Government.

The weirdest part – and most telling – was how ‘Mo Mormon WASP’ Mitt Romney interrupted TWICE with his assinine comment about 9/11. Even New Yoahkah Rudy during the SC debate waited until Ron Paul was finished to grandstand. Mitt Romney would have only risked being that rude in front of an Iowa Midwestern audience if Ron Paul’s numbers are not only a lot higher than the 2% the Wash.Post cited but almost as big as Mitt’s. A champion boxer never socks a non-contender in the groin, he only risks getting disqualified by doing that to a real threat, so Mitt has told us who his ‘real’ contender is, and it’s not Rudy.
